Nicole C.

English/Reading

Nicole is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, a published author and mechanical engineer, and a master of both language arts and STEM.  Her ability to communicate difficult concepts in her teaching and writing landed her a job at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center.  A poignant and precise communicator, she translated the team’s findings into journal articles and news reports, making advanced science accessible to the general public.

This ability to simplify complex concepts extends to her teaching philosophy, which is to distill standardized tests like the SAT and ACT into bite-sized pieces.  She teaches her students to think critically and strategically to maximize scores.  Nicole has worked in the test preparation industry for over six years and served as a premier instructor and curriculum developer at the Tutoring Club for three years.

When not in the classroom, Nicole can be found hiking through canyons or practicing Taekwondo.
