Elizabeth R.

Verbal Director

Elizabeth graduated magna cum laude from Cal State University Long Beach, where she majored in English Literature and Gender Studies, publishing in both fields.  Her love of teaching English has taken her around the globe—for over a decade, she taught students of all ages throughout Northeast Asia.

Twice honored by the Korean Office of Education for developing her own high school curriculum in English literature and debate, Elizabeth was invited to become a teacher trainer for incoming Native English Teachers in Seoul, Korea, in 2015. Her enthusiastic and meticulously organized teaching style made her a popular instructor with adults as well as children. Her students include numerous international CEOs, and her Medical English speech classes are still taken by doctors at Jeonju’s prodigious Jeonbuk National University Hospital. Additionally, Elizabeth was a sought after SAT and ACT instructor in Korea, coaching students to maximize their scores so they could matriculate to top U.S. universities.

When she returned to California, Elizabeth continued her teaching career as a private in-home tutor throughout Orange County. She works with students from middle to high school on courses ranging from AP Language to IB Literature and specializes in ACT and SAT test preparation. Elizabeth is laser focused on her students' success, and she tailors her pace, teaching style, and session content during each session to maximize the student's enjoyment of the learning process and, of course, results!

When she is not in the classroom, Elizabeth enjoys reading, dancing, and practicing yoga.
