Neeyaz graduated Magna Cum Laude as an honors student from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Biology. She has always loved helping others, especially through tutoring. In high school, Neeyaz began tutoring students in math, biology, and chemistry and continued to tutor at UCI as a Biological Sciences Peer Tutor. As a Peer Tutor, Neeyaz held office hours for students to go over her weekly worksheets or discuss challenging concepts, and held exam review sessions for hundreds of students.
With this experience, Neeyaz understands that all students do not learn the same and thus integrates diverse approaches to learning with creative analogies in order to further students’ understanding of confusing topics. Neeyaz’s main goal is to ensure that students feel confident in themselves and their abilities, and she prides herself on her ability to connect with students and motivate them to be the best student they can be.
In her free time, Neeyaz loves learning new instruments (she’s currently learning guitar!), discovering new music, and playing basketball.
