Having graduated from UCR with a B.S. in Sociology, Teia has embraced every opportunity to make the most of her degree. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant for the SPYRL Lab at UCR and served as a College Success Coach for the Riverside County Office of Education. After graduation, she studied Intensive Case Management at UCSD’s Division of
Extended Studies. Following her time in this program, she chose to take the RBT certification exam in hopes of expanding her ability to help people of all backgrounds. Working in so many settings with various demographics encouraged her passion for education. Watching students of all ages go from uncertainty to full confidence in who they want to be in the future inspired Teia to become fully invested in their journeys. At AR Academics, she is excited to continue pushing students to perform at levels beyond what they believe possible of themselves.
Outside of work, you can often find her playing retro games, baking strange goodies, or attempting to make chainmail for her dog.
