Thomas graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.S. in Psychobiology. At UCLA, Thomas found a passion for creating welcoming learning environments and facilitating active learning. He served as both a Learning Assistant and Pedagogy Head at UCLA's Learning Assistant Program, where he specialized in Physics courses. As a Learning Assistant, Thomas helped hundreds of students excel in their Physics courses by developing Physics lab guides and walking students through challenging coursework.
With his experience as a Pedagogy Head, he is an expert in utilizing evidence-based pedagogical techniques to help students succeed. Above all else, Thomas values being patient and adaptable. Realizing that students come from diverse backgrounds and different levels, Thomas understands the importance of being an empathetic mentor and strives to increase the skills and success of students.
Outside of AR, Thomas can be found fishing along the piers and beaches of Southern California.
